Blue Legal is proud to be partnering with a leading international law firm to recruit a Senior Business Development Manager for their London office. This is a unique opportunity to play a central role in shaping and executing the firm’s Technology sector strategy a high-growth, high-priority area of focus. You’ll work closely with the Head of Sector and Sector Leaders to drive a forward-thinking, commercially focused approach that aligns with firm-wide strategic priorities.
The Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a clear Technology sector strategy, aligned with firm-wide priorities, to grow revenue with Enterprise/Sector Priority clients
- Regularly review the Technology sector’s client portfolio to ensure alignment with firm objectives and sector developments.
- Identify future clients, opportunities, and industry trends to inform the sector strategy and anticipate sectoral convergence and conflicts.
- Set targets and KPIs to track the effectiveness of the Technology sector strategy and BD efforts.
- Lead and manage BD and client-targeting initiatives for the Technology sector, focusing on high-potential clients.
- Collaborate with the pitch teams to create compelling proposals and ensure teams are prepared for client meetings and pitches.
- Use data and market insights to identify opportunities, monitor trends, and adjust strategies for revenue growth.
- Foster collaboration across teams to drive cross-selling, share best practices, and ensure a coordinated approach to client targeting.
The Candidate:
- Extensive BD management experience in global sector BD roles within legal or professional services, with a focus on Technology (AI, digital transformation, regulation).
- Proven track record of driving BD, cross-selling, and implementing sector-specific strategies to drive revenue growth.
- Client-facing experience with senior partners, relationship managers, and US-based clients, along with a strong understanding of law firm matrix structures.
- Skilled in data analysis, using insights to inform strategic decisions, and knowledgeable in cross-selling methodologies.
