Blue Legal are partnering with a leading law firm who are recruiting for a Senior Business Development Executive to join their London office. The roleholder will work closely with the Head of Business Development and take responsibility for delivering BD and marketing.
The Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep knowledge of specific practice areas and the broader firm, including interdepartmental connections and market positioning.
- Collaborate on BD strategies, including messaging, value-add services, event planning, client targeting, and cross-functional coordination across offices.
- Lead and support the creation of directory submissions, pitches, credentials, brochures, newsletters, and digital marketing campaigns.
- Organise and manage client-facing events, internal functions, conferences, and follow-up activity to enhance client relationships and visibility.
- Conduct research on UK and international targets, maintain CRM data (InterAction), and support the development of metrics to measure BD effectiveness.
- Act as a positive team contributor, role model for junior staff, and advocate for integrating BD efforts with firmwide initiatives, communications, and knowledge sharing.
The Candidate:
- Proven experience in professional services, ideally with employment teams; strong writing, communication, and client development capabilities including pitch and proposal work.
- Skilled in managing multiple projects efficiently while building strong internal and external relationships with a collaborative and client-focused mindset.
- Confident using CRM systems and IT tools, with a proactive, analytical approach to solving problems.
- Demonstrates reliability, adaptability, commercial awareness, and a calm, flexible attitude under pressure.
