An award-winning international law firm are seeking a Marketing & Business Development Manager to join their London office. The role-holder will join the firm’s central BD team to support with the delivery of MBD plans for the Financial Services practice groups, with the support of an Executive.

The Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with fees earners and the wider MBD team to manage competitive bids and tenders, and create winning propositions, using firm’s bids platform.
  • Management of the opportunity and pitch pipeline and process for the group.
  • Using market and data analytics resources to provide actionable intelligence, and facilitate cross-selling opportunities with appropriate practice/sector/country teams.
  • Focusing on the firm’s strategic client programme, actively looking for opportunities to market to these clients and promote the firm’s client service tools.
  • Promoting relationships for the groups, monitoring ROI and maximising opportunities for client development and revenue generation.
  • Drafting BD content for multiple platforms and managing campaigns and targeting initiatives, to maximise outcomes including social media and PR opportunities.
  • Leading on event preparation, ensuring that value is derived and recorded.
  • Supporting the management of the MBD budget and line management of the BD Executive.
  • Developing and maintaining MBD infrastructure, including deal & credentials databases, pitching templates, CRM, the intranet, microsites and web pages.

The Candidate:

  • Previous experience of working in a legal / professional services environment
  • Experience of dealing directly with partners and key stakeholders would be helpful
  • Strong commercial awareness, including experience of/an interest in the key legal and commercial issues affecting the practice/sector groups.
  • Knowledge of the full spectrum of MBD activities, business development experience and events experience would be ideal.
