Blue Legal is working with a leading global law firm that is recruiting a Business Development Senior Advisor to join its Energy & Infrastructure team in London. Reporting to the BD Senior Manager, Energy & Infrastructure, you’ll help shape and deliver BD strategies that drive growth across the practice. You’ll use data-led insights to spot opportunities, support cross-selling and build strong client and internal relationships across the firm’s global network.

The Responsibilities:

• Support the development and implementation of business development plans to drive growth across Energy & Infrastructure services.
• Collaborate with global BD teams to keep the London office connected to the firm’s global network and strategies.
• Help ensure UK Energy & Infrastructure and client targeting strategies align with global growth objectives and wider firm strategy.
• Build relationships across the wider Business Development & Marketing function, including Clients & Sectors teams, to create compelling Energy & Infrastructure-led go-to-market campaigns.
• Support the delivery of sector and client growth plans, helping to facilitate cross-selling opportunities across global product teams.
• Contribute high-quality input to win strategies and help develop market-leading pitch and panel submissions.
• Use data-led insights for horizon scanning, opportunity spotting, pipeline management and client targeting.
• Analyse market information and monitor external trends to help shape BD initiatives and goals.
• Make effective use of MarTech and data infrastructure to provide proactive, targeted insights.
• Ensure alignment with global processes and effective use of the firm’s shared services.

The Candidate:

• Has business development experience supporting Energy & Infrastructure services, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment.
• Has knowledge of Energy & Infrastructure transactions, fund formation, portfolio company management and related market trends.
• Has experience supporting BD strategy development and implementation, and contributing to pitches and client proposals.
• Has strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret market data and identify opportunities.
• Understands cross-selling strategies within professional services.
• Has experience using marketing technology and data tools to generate BD insights.
• Communicates confidently and can build relationships with diverse stakeholders across global teams.
• Holds a degree in marketing, business or a related field; advanced leadership or marketing qualifications are advantageous.
