Business Development & Marketing Manager – Construction

Blue Legal is partnering with a leading international law firm to recruit a BD & Business Manager to support its Construction practice. Based in London, the successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership to drive business development, marketing and strategic initiatives across the international group, supporting its continued growth, market profile and overall performance.

The Responsibilities:

• Support the development and implementation of strategic business development and client development plans for the Construction practice, ensuring activity aligns with wider firm objectives.
• Work closely with partners and fee earners to strengthen client relationships, identify cross-selling and referral opportunities and support strategic growth initiatives and client account plans.
• Develop and deliver integrated marketing campaigns, events, conferences, sponsorships and client engagement programmes that enhance the profile of the Construction practice.
• Manage pitches, marketing collateral, website content, credentials, legal directory submissions and awards programmes, ensuring consistent and effective market positioning.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and client developments, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic planning and identify new business opportunities.
• Support the monitoring and reporting of financial, operational and business development performance, contributing to budgeting, business cases, pipeline
analysis and wider strategic decision-making.
• Coordinate strategic projects and leadership initiatives across the international practice, working closely with Business Services teams while supporting and co-managing the development of the aligned Marketing & Business Development Executive.

The Candidate:

• Previous business development, marketing or business management experience within a legal or professional services environment, ideally supporting Construction or a related sector.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills, with experience interpreting financial, client and operational data and delivering strategic growth initiatives.
• Excellent project management, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work with senior leadership and operate effectively at both strategic and operational levels.
