Blue Legal are partnering with s leading international law firm who are recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join their London office. The role involves supporting the development and execution of strategic business development and marketing plans for the Corporate practice and related teams, leading initiatives such as RFPs, thought leadership, events, and communications to enhance client engagement and raise the group’s market profile.

The Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business development and marketing (BD&M) plans and budgets for assigned groups, primarily supporting the Corporate practice and aligned with firm-wide strategic priorities.
  • Collaborate with partner leaders and BD&M leadership to execute key initiatives, marketing campaigns, and tactical plans that drive business growth.
  • Lead and contribute to RFPs, pitches, and client presentations, ensuring brand consistency and coordination with global BD&M and other internal teams.
  • Drive thought leadership and marketing campaigns, partnering with PR and leveraging various channels, including social media, to enhance visibility of the practice or industry group.
  • Manage events and sponsorships such as seminars, webinars, and client programs, and support related client team activities and initiatives.
  • Conduct market and client research, maintain communication with lawyers, ensure marketing materials (bios, brochures, websites) are up to date, and support regular reporting and team meetings.

The Candidate:

  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience, with a proven track record in marketing, communications, or management, preferably within professional services or corporate sectors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), with familiarity in research techniques and competitive intelligence tools used in professional services environments.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple priorities, lead projects, support change initiatives, and maintain a high level of professionalism, initiative, and client service.
