Blue Legal are partnering with a leading national law firm who are recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join their Newcastle office. The role involves driving the firm’s growth, building relationships with existing and potential clients and expanding the firm’s market presence, by targeting markets, sectors, clients and internal referrals.
The Responsibilities:
- Support the creation and execution of firmwide and departmental business development plans, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Build strong client relationships, assist partners in managing key accounts, identify cross-selling opportunities, and support structured client development initiatives.
- Conduct market and competitive research to identify growth areas, manage client targeting, and track business development activities using CRM systems.
- Assist in preparing tenders, proposals, and marketing materials, develop best practices for submissions, and support legal directory and award entries.
- Identify speaking opportunities, help develop thought leadership content, and collaborate on marketing campaigns to raise the firm’s profile and client engagement.
- Work closely with the BD, marketing, and client experience teams, manage budgets, provide updates to leadership, and act as a key ambassador for the firm.
The Candidate:
- Experience within a similar role in a professional services environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Self-motivated, highly organised and capable of working independently under pressure.
