Business Development & CRM Manager

Blue Legal is partnering with a leading London law firm to recruit a Business Development Manager. This senior role will sit within a collaborative Marketing & Business Development team, working closely with Partners to drive the firm’s long-term growth strategy and embed a modern, data-driven approach to client development and relationship management.

The Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of firm-wide business development strategies aligned with growth ambitions.
  • Champion CRM adoption, designing processes and training programmes that encourage measurable behaviour change.
  • Build a culture of proactive contact management, ensuring partners and fee earners use insights and touchpoints to deepen client relationships and generate new instructions.
  • Conduct strategic market and competitor intelligence to identify opportunities, emerging sectors, and referral networks.
  • Advise senior leadership on business development priorities and long-term growth planning.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, and legal teams to embed consistent practice-wide BD discipline.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of business development initiatives, adjusting strategy where necessary.

The Candidate:

  • Proven experience designing and implementing contact strategy programmes within professional services.
  • Expertise in managing and optimising CRM systems, with a focus on adoption, reporting, and strategic insights.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, particularly with senior partners and leadership teams.
