Blue Legal are partnering with a leading law firm to recruit a Bid Manager to join their Birmingham/Manchester office on a 12-14 month FTC. You will lead and project-manage formal tender responses and produce credentials and proposals for the legal and surveying businesses within the Property Platform, ensuring all submissions are accurate, compliant and delivered on time, while building strong relationships across offices and collaborating closely with the wider Marketing and Property New Business teams to support successful outcomes.

The Responsibilities:

  • Lead tenders and proposals across the Property Platform, including legal, consultancy and cross-platform opportunities.
  • Identify, scope and evaluate bids by guiding bid/no-bid decisions and developing winning strategies with fee earners, supported by client and prospect research.
  • Project manage tender processes from kick-off to submission, coordinating pricing, contract reviews and stakeholder input to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Draft, edit and proofread high-quality content while ensuring all materials follow brand guidelines and liaising with support teams for accurate information.
  • Coach fee earners in presentation preparation and support follow-up through proactive debriefs, win/loss analysis and fulfilment of bid-related commitments.
  • Collaborate closely with the wider Property New Business team to maintain a strong, consistent and efficient bid process.
  • Contribute to and maintain the Content Hub, keeping precedent materials up to date and gathering strong case studies, sector experience and best-practice responses.
  • Promote cross-selling opportunities, share innovative ideas across the platform and help drive continuous improvement and consistency in bid approaches.

The Candidate:

  • At least three years’ experience in bid or tender management within a B2B environment, ideally in the property, construction or legal sectors.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence and build senior client relationships.
  • High level of organisation and confidence to prioritise workload effectively with ownership of tasks.
  • InDesign experience preferred.
