Blue Legal are partnering with a leading law firm who are recruiting for a Senior Business Development Executive to join their Manchester office. You will be involved in the full spectrum of BD tasks that you would expect from an international law firm, working on high profile BD projects and provide BD support to partners and fee earners across their core practice groups Corporate and Commercial. This would be a great opportunity for a Senior Executive looking for a progression opportunity, where there is plenty of autonomy and ownership.
The Responsibilities:
- Build trusted relationships with partners and stakeholders across the Corporate & Commercial Group, acting as a key BD advisor.
- Support delivery of the firm’s strategy by developing and executing BD plans, driving growth and identifying new opportunities.
- Lead BD targeting and campaign follow-up, collaborating with Marketing and wider BD teams to track activity and ROI.
- Manage BD budgets and reporting, ensuring disciplined spend and measurable outcomes.
- Lead bids and tenders from drafting to delivery, supporting major panel submissions and pitch preparation.
- Create and maintain credentials, capability materials, presentations, and website content, ensuring accurate positioning and brand consistency.
- Champion BD tech and systems (e.g., CRM, credentials platforms), ensuring effective use and data quality.
- Collaborate across Internal Comms, Marketing, and Communications to support campaigns, profile-raising, deal announcements, and thought-leadership initiatives.

- Experienced in pitching and RFP responses, with a background in professional services or a similar environment.
