Senior Business Development Executive
Blue Legal is partnering with a leading law firm to recruit a Senior Business Development Executive to join its Business Development team. Working closely with lawyers and key stakeholders across the firm, the successful candidate will provide strategic business development support, helping to drive growth, strengthen client relationships and deliver impactful marketing initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced BD professional to play a key role in supporting the firm’s sector-focused growth strategy.
The Responsibilities:
- Support the development, implementation and evaluation of business development and marketing plans, ensuring activity aligns with strategic objectives and drives profitable growth.
- Assist with the delivery of integrated campaigns, sponsorships, thought leadership initiatives, events and digital marketing activities, working closely with specialist marketing teams.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis and business intelligence gathering to support client meetings, campaign planning and business development activity.
- Produce compelling marketing collateral and business development materials to support client engagement, profile-raising and new business opportunities.
- Work closely with lawyers to support client targeting, networking opportunities, Key Account Management initiatives and wider client relationship activities.
- Collaborate with the Pursuits team and other Business Services functions on pitches, tenders and proposal opportunities, ensuring high-quality submissions and stakeholder engagement.
- Support a range of wider marketing initiatives, including client listening programmes, legal directory submissions, award entries, PR activity, website content and email marketing campaigns.
The Candidate:
- Previous experience within a business development or marketing role, ideally within a legal or professional services environment.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and build credibility with stakeholders at all levels.
- Commercially aware and proactive, with strong analytical skills and the ability to identify opportunities, drive improvements and contribute to business growth.
