Marketing and Business Development Manager

Blue Legal is partnering with a leading professional services firm to recruit a Marketing and Business Development Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role will be based at Discovery Park, Sandwich, Kent (with flexibility for other Kent offices) and will play a key part in delivering multi-channel campaigns, creating engaging content, managing high-impact events, and supporting the firm’s growth objectives. You will also mentor a small team and work closely with partners and stakeholders across the organisation.

The Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement marketing and business development strategies that enhance brand awareness, client engagement, and support growth objectives.
• Oversee content creation and thought leadership, including articles, surveys, reports, newsletters, press releases, and editorial materials.
• Plan and manage events and webinars, from roundtables to larger client receptions, ensuring high-quality delivery and engagement.
• Mentor and manage team members, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
• Ensure all marketing materials and communications are aligned with brand guidelines, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
• Support business development initiatives, including lead generation, target lists, market research, and sector-focused campaigns.
• Monitor campaign performance, manage budgets, and provide actionable reporting and recommendations to senior management.

The Candidate:

• Experience in marketing or business development, ideally within professional services or a related sector.
• Strong communicator with excellent writing, editing, and content management skills.
• Proactive, organised, and commercially minded, able to manage multiple priorities, lead a small team, and deliver results in a dynamic environment
