Blue Legal are partnering with a leading law firm who are recruiting for a Senior Events Executive to join their Bristol office on a 9 month FTC basis (maternity cover). You will lead the planning and execution of a diverse program of high-quality events designed to advance the firm’s business development goals and strengthen our brand presence. This position calls for a professional who combines strategic insight with precise delivery to create impactful experiences that engage clients and prospects.

The Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a firm-wide events strategy aligned with business goals and brand guidelines.
  • Manage a varied portfolio of events including seminars, thought leadership programmes, webinars, conferences, networking activities, and internal events.
  • Collaborate with sectors and teams to design targeted, client-focused events that highlight the firm’s expertise.
  • Build strong relationships with partners, business development teams, and key stakeholders to support event success.
  • Oversee the full event lifecycle, ensuring high-quality execution, compelling content creation, and effective marketing.
  • Lead and support the Events Assistant to ensure smooth delivery of webinars, administration, and team-wide event support.
  • Monitor performance through data analysis, attendee feedback, and ROI measurement to drive continuous improvement.
  • Bring innovation and adaptability by staying informed on trends, creating standout event experiences, and ensuring consistent brand representation.

The Candidate:

  • A proven track record of delivering high-impact B2B events, strong project management skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong commercial awareness, client-focused mindset, and understanding of professional services environments, supported by knowledge of event marketing, digital engagement, venues, GDPR, and event technologies.
  • Qualified with a relevant degree and 3+ years of events management experience, including stakeholder engagement, CRM/event software use, and planning for contingencies.
