Blue Legal are partnering with a leading international law firm who are recruiting for a Business Development Manager to support their Banking group, based from their London office. The role involves identifying opportunities using strong Banking and R&I insights and data-led intelligence, drive cross-selling, execute client-centric BD activities, strengthen client and internal stakeholder relationships, and inform the overall BD strategy to drive profitable revenue growth.
The Responsibilities:
- Draft, implement, and support BD growth plans for Banking and R&I.
- Deliver BD and marketing initiatives (digital, comms, pitching, directories, events, CRM, etc.) with team support.
- Act as advisor to practice lawyers, building strong internal relationships.
- Align targeting strategies with global BD and firmwide growth objectives.
- Build networks across global BD/BDM teams to ensure connectivity and collaboration.
- Develop and execute client growth plans, enabling cross-selling with global practice teams.
- Provide high-quality input for win strategies, pitches, and panel submissions.
- Use data and GenAI to drive insights, spot opportunities, manage pipelines, and inform BD strategies through market/client analysis.
The Candidate:
- Significant BD experience in legal services, with a track record of designing and implementing growth strategies, managing pitches, and driving cross-selling opportunities.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills, including at senior level and across global teams.
- Proven self-starter with ability to manage conflicting priorities, work proactively, and balance diverse practice needs.
- Skilled in leveraging data, technology, and market intelligence to generate insights, identify opportunities, and enhance BD effectiveness.
