Bid Manager

A leading law firm is looking for an experienced Bids Manager to focus on helping the firm win new profitable business by responding to bid opportunities. This role will advise and challenge firmwide teams on the decision to respond to a bid opportunity and lead bids.

The Responsibilities:

  • Developing the bids strategy including value proposition and win themes
  • Scoping the bids opportunity to understand client needs and to ensure our proposal is responsive
  • Involving subject matter experts to develop the proposition
  • Developing bids content that is convincing and client focused
  • Finalising and submitting bids in line with the client’s instructions
  • Coordinate presentation rehearsals and offer advice and coaching on style, approach, messaging
  • Conducting client debriefs to capture feedback

The Candidate:

  • Degree/CIM Chartered Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing/MBA (desirable)
  • 5 minimum years’ experience in a professional services environment
  • Experience in writing and managing bids
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and oral
  • Experience in dealing with a demanding workload and conflicting priorities
  • Experience of using InterAction/CRM systems would be beneficial
  • A collaborative working style, able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
