A leading global law firm is currently seeking a Marketing & Business Development Manager to join their team in London. You will lead the marketing, business development, and communication efforts for the Litigation in London, you will be one of three senior managers reporting to the Director of Marketing & Business Development.

 

The Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead the development of the Marketing Plan for areas of responsibility and report quarterly on achievements versus goals. Identify key clients for focused business development activities and issues around which brand building campaigns will be deployed.
  • Plan and implement marketing and business development activities in support of revenue generation and profile. As part of this plan and help direct the marketing/BD budgets and spend.
  • Support with revenue growth and business development, including, targeting, market research and responding to RFPs and developing pitch proposals. Help partners to spot and respond to client opportunities through tracking and analysing the market and client trends and issues.
  • Identify synergies with other areas of the firm and practice groups, to ensure that partners are collaborating globally where suitable to win work and raise profile.
  • Work closely with the global PR team to spot and respond to suitable PR and communications opportunities.
  • Write, edit and maintain effective, compelling, and consistent written marketing materials, including lawyer brochures, biographies, practice descriptions and experience lists.
  • Lead the process and creation of legal directory submissions and ensure full contribution to league tables.
  • Develop and implement, Signature Events working closely with colleagues including Events Managers.

 

The Candidate:

 

  • University/business school degree required.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in a law firm is essential.
  • Leadership and managerial skills, to advise partners, with strong follow through.
  • Teamwork-oriented, service minded and diplomatic with strong collaboration skills.
  • Proven ability to communicate and collaborate successfully, both in writing and verbally.
