This commercial law firm is currently recruiting for a Business Development Executive to join their team in the North West. Reporting to the Business Development Consultant, you will manage, coordinate and drive the firm’s business development activities around its core industry sectors.


The Responsibilities:


  • Working with Sector Heads and cross-service Sector Groups, implement and manage the firm’s sector initiative and BD activities
  • Act as a business partner to Sector Heads, working with key partners and fee earners to deliver agreed BD activities to attract, engage, convert and retain clients
  • Develop and co-ordinate firm-wide BD programmes and campaigns targeting lead generation and client development
  • Carry out thought leadership campaigns, direct targeting, digital marketing, BD activities with key intermediaries and ensuring follow up of all new business opportunities
  • Identify opportunities to generate revenue with existing clients through client development and cross-selling programmes
  • Undertake research and analysis of industry sector trends, target audiences, individual companies and identify new business opportunities for the firm
  • Coach/advise partners and fee earners on new business targeting and cross-selling
  • Ensure all elements of the marketing and communications mix are used effectively, such as thought leadership, content marketing, digital channels, social media, events and sponsorship, to design multi-channel business development campaigns and extend market reach
  • Monitor activity and co-ordinate sales data, Sector Group meetings, delivery of actions and evaluation of results


The Candidate:

  • Degree educated
  • Previous BD experience within a law firm/professional services firm/B2B environment
  • Proven experience planning and managing a range of business development programmes, campaigns and activities
  • Ability to engage and influence partners and staff at all levels
  • Strong project management skills and flexibility in managing a range of BD activities/projects
