This global law firm is recruiting a Junior Business Development Manager to support their leading 30 Partner Disputes team. They are looking for someone who is looking for the next step up in their BD career and will support an ambitious candidate who can drive the team forward.

The Responsibilities:

  • Development and implementation of business development and marketing campaigns, in line with sector business objectives and in consultation with sector and sub-sector groups
  • Creation of effective sector and sub-sector groups and the management of their communication, marketing and client development programs
  • Attendance and where required leadership of these sector group meetings, and the driving forward of their activities
  • Management of an integrated marketing and client development plan for the sectors
  • Creation and management of all marketing materials and activities in support of this agenda – whether brochures, directory submissions, web pages, newsletters, reports, web-pages, seminars, conferences etc
  • Establishment and maintenance of up to date credentials information
  • Creation of differentiating proposal materials and the management of pitch efforts
  • Contribution to the firm’s Key Account Program through identification of the sectors/practice area’s key accounts, the establishment of client teams and the development and implementation of their plans
  • Management of Business Development Executives’ involvement in sector activities, ensuring they work to the highest standards and contributing through this to their development
  • Together with the Senior Communications Manager, developing and implementing an appropriate media communications program and developing relationships with key journalists
  • Contribution to the formulation of relevant business development budgets and monitoring of business development expenditure
  • Effectively support and communicate the key aims of the firm’s business development agenda within the sector, assisting partners, lawyers and team members in maintaining an awareness of these aims and guiding their implementation
  • Maintain an overview of the developments taking place in the firm and their market and communicate those developments to partners, lawyers and other team members

The Candidate:

  • Previous experience gained within a legal or professional services firm
  • Experience at senior business development executive level
  • Experience of supervising and assisting in the coaching of junior team members is desirable
