A leading international law firm is currently recruiting a Business Development Manager to join their New York office to support the implementation of the firms’ Latin America strategy. This is a dynamic role whereby the role holder will be working closely with 3 partners and be responsible for winning new business, client relationship management, events and the development & execution of strategic campaigns to target work streams in Latin America alongside partners. Fluency in verbal and written Spanish and English is a must.

The Responsibilities:

  • Work with partners to provide strategic advice in preparing business plans as part of the Latin America strategy
  • Assist partners with proposals
  • Provide support to partners on their management of key regional clients
  • Provide support for the preparation and delivery of action plans for key clients within the Latin America region
  • In line with market trends identify innovative ideas for business development events
  • Work with the marketing and communications team to assist partners in relationships with local press
  • Provide market information and analysis of financials to identify trends and opportunities
  • Maintain strong and current knowledge of issues impacting the region including building and leveraging relationships with relevant local bodies
  • Maintain the Latin America page of the firm’s website and intranet
  • Coordinate and support the production of pitches, statements, production brochures and presentations in both English and Spanish
  • Coordinate the Latin America legal directories

The Candidate:

  • Previous  BD experience at management level working closely with partners
  • Proven experience providing strategic advice in preparing business plans within the legal sector
  • Degree or equivalent education
  • Dual language skills required – written and verbal English and Spanish
  • A keen interest and understanding of the Latin America market
  • A background in energy, infrastructure or finance is desired
  • A keen interest and understanding of the Latin America market
