A top global leading law firm is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their growing Banking team based in London. You will be responsible for the day to day activities including the successful delivery of the marketing plans, improve collaboration, and to drive the client strategy. You will work closely with and report to the Global Head of BD for Banking.

The Responsibilities:

  • Providing day-to-day BD support and advice to the lawyers in the London Funds & Asset Management and Tax teams
  • Working alongside the Global Funds Steering Committee and driving the BD strategy for Funds & Asset Management globally
  • Drive the global Funds & Asset Management offering
  • Build and maintain long-lasting, deep client relationships and win new clients
  • Act as lead client relationship manager for priority clients and support the relationship partners with plans and tactics to advance these relationships
  • Proactively work with the partners and actively contribute to their business plans
  • Provide leadership and best practice advice and act as an internal consultant, helping coach partners/lawyers on marketing and business development
  • Implement the strategy and help influence key individuals within the practices and to achieve agreed strategic goals
  • Track and monitor the work we do with our clients and develop strategies to target additional work from such clients
  • Manage a budget that is agreed with central management annually, monitoring spend and measuring value for money

The Candidate:

  • Must have relevant experience in business development and marketing at senior executive or manager level and Funds & Asset Management
  • Will have excellent interpersonal and influencing skills at all levels
  • Bright, creative able to translate market developments into potential client needs
  • Have experience developing, implementing and executing business development strategies that have been delivered significant results against strategic goals
  • Strong writer who has able to manage strategic pitch processes with tight deadlines
