An award winning leading international Law Firm is currently seeking a Senior Internal Communications Manager on a fixed term contract to cover a maternity. A truly global firm spanning over 30 countries with 40 plus offices, they are currently classed as one of the top legal practices to work with or for. This role will provide support for the internal communications (IC) strategy globally and be responsible for achieving the firm’s business objectives, which include improving the firm’s effective communications. This role will be based in the London office.

The Responsibilities:

  •  Work with the Global Head of Communications to set the strategic direction and priorities for IC globally and to ensure that the function meets business requirements. Monitor IC best practice and recommend improvements
  • Plan and implement specific IC campaigns in support of the business and/or in support of marketing or PR-led campaigns
  • Alignment of messages: work with senior colleagues in Communications to ensure the alignment of internal and external business messages
  • Change communications: lead, project-manage and implement major business change programmes, ensuring early engagement with business owners on all communications aspects
  • IC support to offices, practice groups and support functions: advise the leaders of the firms global offices, practice groups and support functions on planning and delivery of effective internal communications in their respective areas
  • Measurement/evaluation: support the firm’s business leaders in using measurement to gauge messaging effectiveness and to inform proposed changes to communication approaches
  • Audience analysis: ensure IC plans are tailored to meet different audience requirements
  • Channels: select effectively from the suite of IC services and channels available, including social media, to ensure best practice is used and that channels are effective and engaging
  • Team management: manage the Internal Communications Executive in Belfast and a network of external suppliers
  • Centre of expertise: collaborate and consult with other members of the global marketing, business development and communications team to provide an integrated approach to internal communications delivery, and to leverage and share best practice.

The Candidate:

  •  A record of achievement in a communications role in the corporate or professional services environment.
  • Experience as acting as an internal consultant or business partner
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to develop relationships and influence and at all levels.
