This national law firm is recruiting a Senior Communications Executive to join the firm on a 12 month contract basis in their Cambridge office.


The Responsibilities:


  • Liaise with relevant lawyers to draft press releases and other editorial content such as feature articles
  • Add news items, eg, press releases and articles, to the website in a timely manner
  • Ensure external PR agencies can access legal spokespeople
  • Set-up media training for lawyers when appropriate
  • Monitor materials for adherence to the firm’s brand guidelines and house style
  • Ensure the firm’s brand is communicated effectively and consistently
  • Advise on effectiveness of advertising opportunities
  • Develop advertising to ensure opportunities are utilised effectively and adhere to brand guidelines
  • Assist with content for quarterly staff briefing sessions, including the creation of in-house videos
  • Look to utilise video updates more across the firm
  • Co-ordinate the regular and timely sending of email newsletters and one-off briefings
  • Feedback stats on open and click through rates to teams
  • Proofread online materials – including email communications and web content – for house style, accuracy, messaging and appropriateness for online consumption
  • Support search engine optimisation activities through online PR and monitoring materials for appropriate inclusion of target keywords
  • Liaise with teams to produce hardcopy publications such as legal updates and sector brochures
  • Co-ordinate and project manage content marketing campaigns
  • Flag potential crisis/issues management scenarios in a timely manner
  • Assist with the development of internal templates in line with brand guidelines
  • Assist with the legal directory submissions process in terms of proof reading and liaising with the BD team to secure content
  • Liaise with external design agencies to develop adverts, both print and online
  • Keep the firm abreast of latest news, projects and information using the appropriate channels
  • Facilitate and support the management and regular updating of the content on the firm’s website and other digital channels
  • Draft copy for hardcopy publications
  • Draft case studies and other content for thought leadership campaigns


The Candidate:

  • Degree educated
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Experience of managing external PR and design agencies
