My client, a leading top-tier European intellectual property firm is looking for an experienced Marketing & Database Assistant to join their Marketing Department for a 12 month contact.  This role reports into the Marketing Communications Manager.


The Responsibilities:

  • Maintains and champions the use of the firm’s CRM database.
  • Liaising with people at all levels within the business, to deal with general database enquiries and encourage better use of the system.
  • Responsible for making updates to client and contact records to update marketing lists.
  • Responsible for regular data cleansing programme to ensure all client and contact records are complete and accurate.
  • Leveraging database content to develop email and print campaigns.
  • Recording business development related travel and event notifications and requesting, and monitoring receipt of, trip and conference reports.
  • Assists with co-ordinating business development events such as seminars, client hospitality, webinars, conferences and client marketing visits.
  • Assists attorneys with the preparation of materials for business trips, conferences competitive tenders, pitches and presentations.
  • Provides administrative support to the BD department, including arranging meetings and photo shoots, monitoring departmental email inboxes, maintaining the BD calendars, and ensuring stock levels are appropriate both in London and Southampton offices.
  • Assists the BD department and partners in researching potential target markets, client opportunities, and competitor analysis by reviewing other firms’ websites, brochures, charges, etc.
  • Assists the Marketing Communications Manager on drafting and proofing content for news releases, newsletters, and the firm’s website.


The Candidate:

  • At least 1 years’ experience within Marketing
  • Experience within a professional services, corporate or B2b environment
  • Experience with databases.
