This leading Consultancy firm is recruiting a Graphic Designer to join their friendly London office. The role supports the Brand and Design team in delivering consistent and effective graphic design from concept to production, including marketing collateral, multimedia graphics and video. This is a 9-12 month maternity cover contract.


The Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of consistent and effective designs across a variety of marketing materials and media including brochures, flyers, infographics, website graphics, adverts, invitations, emails, video and tenders
  • Provide design support primarily for UK office but also adhoc support for the firm’s European offices
  • Provide adhoc assistance and support in a design advisory capacity to other members of staff including sourcing imagery for presentations, creating charts, creating PDFs.
  • Support the Brand and Design team in maintaining the integrity of the firm’s brand and visual guidelines and contributing to its progression, both in print and digital media.
  • Research and purchase of imagery which adhere to the firm’s brand specifications, to be used in collateral and on the UK and European websites. Maintain licensing when required. Keep up to date with image research.
  • Assist with photography and video output and provide creative input and ideas.
  • Supporting filming of events, and video and photography shoots, working with external agencies to produce required footage.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of editing and graphics animation using Adobe Premiere and After Effects to create new visuals and concepts for video projects, and to develop video styles where required.
  • Prepare video in suitable format for uploading to the website.
  • Provide ongoing design input and support for the websites including creating and updating design elements and specific graphics, and refreshing imagery as required (via a content management system).
  • Provide ongoing design input and support for HTML marketing emails and maintaining these via our email tool. Creation and development of email templates, buttons, headings and imagery where required. Review emails that are sent out from a design perspective.
  • Provide support for management of external printing of design projects including brochures, flyers, signage, folders, invitations etc. Obtain quotes from other printing companies to ensure prices are competitive.
  • Prepare artwork for commercial print, and conduct appropriate flight-checks to ensure they are print-ready and/or meet printer specifications. Required to be able to artwork collateral and adverts to technical print-specifications for publications.
  • Design and production of adhoc graphics for internal or corporate use such as signage, as and when required.
  • Work with partners to design and produce collateral for clients on their behalf to communicate to pension scheme members, using clients’ own branding – applying their external brand guidelines to new documents, making edits and producing print-ready files.


The Candidate:

  • Previous experience gained in a graphic design role in either a professional or financial services firm
  • Creative, capable of producing professional, impactful visual designs within brand guidelines for sales and marketing purposes.
  • Essential: Adobe Creative Suite (5.5 or above) (InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop)
  • Essential: Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Desired: Working knowledge of website structure/functionality and basic HTML.
  • Desired: Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
