This leading Commercial Set of Chambers is recruiting a Marketing Manager to join their team in London. The holder will be responsible for all marketing activities including the organisation of its busy programme of events in the UK and internationally.

 

The Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead role in planning and the organisation of in-house training, seminars, conferences, and client focused events, corporate hospitality, internal and external events.
  • Generate external speaking opportunities for members and build relationships with external organisations.
  • Organise speaker training on presentation skills and 1-2-1 rehearsals
  • Set event budget and monitor expenditure and income from ticket sales
  • When required attendance at Chambers events in the London, rest of the UK and internationally.
  • Produce post-event evaluation report for all major conferences
  • Oversee marketing content for the two internal email newsletters
  • Manage the updating and maintaining of the Intranet by the Marketing Assistant
  • Management of directory process to ensure members/teams meet deadlines, aiming to improve rankings year on year
  • Give 1-2-1 advice to barristers on how to prepare and improve submissions
  • Oversee the Marketing Assistant in the production of referee spreadsheets
  • Yearly evaluation of results and comparisons
  • Manage all content editing on the website – approve any changes made by the MA
  • Generate information for the website – news stories, cases, CV updates
  • Seek and monitor updates from members – encourage participation
  • Provide information on member CV updates/news in advance of Practice Development Meetings
  • Management of all chambers’ social media accounts
  • Monitor LinkedIn profiles and suggest updates, encourage members to share Chambers content
  • Oversee all email campaigns sent via Lex/Mail Chimp
  • Working directly and closely with our design agency to ensure all our visual communications are consistent with our brand and of a high standard.
  • Manage relationship with designers and printers for all design/print production
  • Organisation of the Marketing Committee
  • Quarterly reporting to the marketing committee, budget update and event summary
  • Direct line management of the Marketing Assistant, including their performance reviews, training and holiday requests.
  • Working alongside the Practice Director and clerking team to assist and initiate any business development activities
  • Manage the annual Client Feedback project working directly with our external agency, Practice Director and Head Team Clerks.
  • Set annual marketing budget for approval by the marketing committee & management board
  • Produce end of year report, covering analysis and summary of expenditure

 

 

The Candidate:

  • Strong knowledge of the legal industry
  • Broad marketing experience and the ability to mentor, train and develop team members
  • Experience in Event / Project Management
  • Excellent IT Skills
